The Boston Red Sox eight game winning streak came to a screeching halt Sunday when the current Boston pitcher with a sewn number 3 on his shirt hit the showers early. David Wells was booed on his return to Yankee Stadium, but should have been cheered by the Yankee fans for letting the Yankees get 10 hits and 4 runs in 4.1 innings.
Randy Johnson pitched a strong game in his Yankee debut, and Jason Giambi, after receiving a standing ovation from the Yankee faithful, got three hits. One with his bat and two with his body.
